Just wanted to let everyone know we ran all the security checks for the plugin after upgrading to a Wordpress 2.9.+ version, and WP Photo Ads is still working like a charm. For people who are interested in giving it a go on a new installation – you can do so without hesitation.

In the mean time, here’s another great example of how you can tweak WP Photo Ads to look nothing like the original script, and even add content to the image.php file!

The first version of our “plugin” is currently in the works. When we started development on this very small piece of code we were basicly doing it for our own websites, hoping to easily up our Adsense revenue by adding one or two ad blocks to image zoom pages, without having to back down of using the original Wordpress Media tool that we really like, and that our authors are used to working with.

While we were working on this, we decided this was actually something we feel a lot of people could benefit from – so we decided to take this “plugin” public, whatever form it may end up in. As it was planned to be used internally in our company, we weren’t planning on actually making it an installable plugin — but now we’re trying to figure out whether or not that’s an option. If we don’t succeed — sorry; but the instructions on this page won’t be too difficult, even without a one-click Wordpress install, we promise!

Anyway, just wanted to have a first entry here on the blog; will obviously keep you posted as soon as we’re ready to release the first Beta.
